Simon Srebnik

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Simon Srebnik was one of two people to survive the Nazi death camp of Chelmno. He survived along with Mordechaï Podchlebnik. He was forced to burn bodies, and grind bones. Further more he was shot, but survived. He was thirteen at the time and later returned to the Catholic church where he was forced to work, for an interview with French film maker Claude Lanzmann, where he faced the people who were so complicit in the deaths of so many. May we never forget.
