Simon Hackney (born on 5th February 1984 in Manchester) is a football player who plays in midfield for Carlisle United after signing from Woodley Sports in February 2005 after impressing in a trial, scoring two goals in two games for the reserves in the process. In the 2005-2006 season, Hackney played 30 league games and started 9 of those. He also scored 6 goals making him an important part of the League Two title winning team.
