Simon Thomas Donnelly (born 1 December 1974) is a Scottish professional footballer currently playing for Partick Thistle.

Donnelly, a wide forward, started his career at Queen's Park before joining Celtic in 1993, where he made over 150 appearances. He controversially moved to English club Sheffield Wednesday in 1999 on a Bosman free transfer which saw him rejected by Celtic fans. A series of injury problems halted his progress in England as Wednesday fell down the leagues to Second Division level.

He returned to Scotland in 2003 with St Johnstone where he played for a season before being signed by Davie Hay at Dunfermline Athletic.

However Donnelly suffered from yet more injuries and after two seasons with Dunfermline he was released in 2006.

He joined Scottish First Division club Partick Thistle on 5 June 2006 on a two-year-deal.

Donnelly has 10 Scotland caps, the last being in 1998.
