Colosimo was a member of the national squad at the 1999 FIFA World Youth Championship and 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney. He currently plays as a central midfielder for the Australian A-League club Perth Glory.
Colosimo made his international debut for Australia in 1998 against Fiji at just 19 years of age, and was most recently selected for the 2005 Confederations Cup. He has received 19 international caps.
Colosimo will join Turkish club Sivasspor on a four-month loan during the A-League off-season in an effort to make a bid for Australia's Asian Cup squad.
