Simon Collis is the British Ambassador to Qatar.

Simon Collis was educated at King Edward VII School (Sheffield) (from 1967 until 1973 - photo) and Christ's College, Cambridge.

He has held posts in Bahrain, Tunisia, India, Jordan, and Dubai.

He took up his present post after 9 months in charge at the British Consulate in Basra, Iraq.
