[edit] Welcome to Wikipedia!

Dear SilverBulletx3: Welcome to Wikipedia, a free and open-content encyclopedia. I hope you enjoy contributing. To help get you settled in, I thought you might find the following pages useful:

Don't worry too much about being perfect. Very few of us are! Just in case you are not perfect, click here to see how you can avoid making common mistakes.

If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions.

Wikipedians try to follow a strict policy of never biting new users. If you are unsure of how to do something, you are welcome to ask a more experienced user such as an administrator. One last bit of advice: please sign any discussion comment with four tildes (~~~~). The software will automatically convert this into your signature which can be altered in the "Preferences" tab at the top of the screen. I hope I have not overwhelmed you with information. If you need any help just let me know. Once again welcome to Wikipedia, and don't forget to tell us about yourself and be BOLD! -- lucasbfr talk 22:15, 1 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] helpme

Hi there - what's up? -- cds(talk) 16:26, 2 June 2006 (UTC)

  • Well, I was looking at the Superchick page, and I am familiar with this band. Their name is correctly spelled Superchic[k] and I didn't know how to add an italic thing at the top, you know, indented, like: The correct name of this article should be Superchic[k]. However, according to technical restrictions, you may not have brackets in titles. Or something like that. Can you help me? SilverBulletx3 16:29, 2 June 2006 (UTC)
you'll want {{Wrongtitle|title=article}} -- cds(talk) 16:35, 2 June 2006 (UTC)
Thanks a bunch! SilverBulletx3chatteh 16:39, 2 June 2006 (UTC)

What's up? -- 9cds(talk) 22:39, 4 June 2006 (UTC)

  • So, there's no picture of Pete Wentz on his page. And I found a good pic. And I want it to go off to the right in the very beginning. Like every other thing like that. What's the code for that? And would I have to somehow upload the pic into the Wikipedia system?
Check out Wikipedia:Uploading images -- 9cds(talk) 22:44, 4 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Your edit to Adolf Hitler

Your recent edit to Adolf Hitler was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to recognize and repair vandalism to Wikipedia articles. If the bot reverted a legitimate edit, please accept my humble creator's apologies – if you bring it to the attention of the bot's owner, we may be able to improve its behavior. Click here for frequently asked questions about the bot and this warning. // Tawkerbot2 18:49, 9 June 2006 (UTC)

It means it's a bot intended to stop vandalism, you might want to change your password as it appears your account was compromised as your last edit was a vandalism looking edit whereas you have many good contribs -- Tawker 18:58, 9 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] helpme

Hello, you used the {{helpme}} tag. How may I help you? When you've asked your question, please put the tag back so we know to check back. Alternatively, you can join the Wikipedia Bootcamp IRC channel to get real-time help. (Use the web-based client to get instant access.) Cheers, Tangotango 15:42, 17 June 2006 (UTC)

Thanks tangotango. My question is how to change the name of an article.
  • Nevermind, I just checked the VFAQ. Thanks anyway. SilverBulletx3chatteh 15:47, 17 June 2006 (UTC)
lol, okay :) Tangotango 15:48, 17 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] helpme

Hello! My name's Mets501. How may I help you? —Mets501 (talk) 16:56, 25 June 2006 (UTC)

  • Hi Mets501. So, I was reading the Utada Hikaru article, and then it had a link to Ayumi Hamasaki's album A BEST. The article name for A BEST is A Best, but when I try to change it to A BEST it says that there is already an article with the name A BEST, but that's just a redirect page. What should I do? -SilverBulletx3chattehcontribs 17:02, 25 June 2006 (UTC)
That is a special case; a redirect with history. You must contact an administrator at Wikipedia:Requested moves. I am not an administrator, sorry. —Mets501 (talk) 17:14, 25 June 2006 (UTC)
That's okay. Thanks for your time and help anyway. :) -SilverBulletx3chattehcontribs 20:05, 25 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Mike's Super Short Show

Hey, I kindof redid your change to the intro, so it basicly says that Disney is *trying* to appeal to kids (but I'm a kid too, and it's awful). Check it out here and tell me what you think, ok? -Tim Rhymeless (Er...let's shimmy) 22:06, 10 July 2006 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing. However, unconstructive edits, such as those you made to I Can't Hate You Anymore, are considered vandalism. If you continue in this manner you may be blocked from editing without further warning. Please stop, and consider improving rather than damaging the hard work of others. Thanks. Can't sleep, clown will eat me 16:53, 11 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Bienvenue!

Bienvenue sur Wikipedia! I can't believe no one welcomed you already (I mean, beside the angry message just on top of this one). So Welcome, and don't be afraid to ask us questions if you need anything! -- lucasbfr talk 22:15, 1 November 2006 (UTC)

  • Thanks, Lucasbfr! Yes, sometimes my cousin gets onto my account and vandalizes pages. *rolls eyes* Well, anyways, thank you for welcoming me to Wikipedia. I've been on here for like months. =D Well, actually, longer than that, but I just got this account a couple of months ago. So, yeah. --silverBULLET(x3) 17:11, 4 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Association of Young Wikipedians

Sorry it's taken so long for me to get back to you, I've been rather antisocial online these days. If you're still interested in the project, drop me a line or email me. -Tim Rhymeless (Er...let's shimmy) 07:31, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
