User:Silfeid

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This is the user page belonging to Adam Brode, an American College student from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The user is possessed of a vast range of knowledge concerning all subjects, and has never met anyone capable of besting him in a game of Trivial Pursuit. The user also speaks German pretty well, to phrase it slangily, and wishes that he could find the page on future tense in German, because after some research and thought, he's very much certain that German future tense conveys a sense of doubt or uncertainty no more than English does, particularly since both languages express future tense in nearly the exact same fashion. The user has taken eight years of German, some of the user's immediate family is fluent, the user's father teaches at the secondary level and his grandfather at the university level, yet the user has never once encountered mention of this curious aspect of the future tense in German in a single textbook, at any level, nor in any conversation. Additionally, the user has spoken extensively with native speakers over a period of months, and never encountered the slightest difficulty in comprehension regarding the future tense, translating it (mentally) literally into English, and always seeming to perfectly apprehend whatever meaning was sought to be communicated. In short, the the user (silfeid) is right, and cakeandicecream is wrong, and the user only wishes he could find the page to change it.
