[edit] Video information
Um... all the information about the video for the song is great, but what about the acutal song itself? What is the song about? How was it written? What inspired it? How was the song received? Etc., etc., etc. Darwin's Bulldog 02:37, 3 August 2006 (UTC)
Most of that information is unavailable. The band doesn't say what their songs are about because they want fans to make the music personal and come up with their own interpretations. Sorry that it's mostly concerning just the video, but I didn't know what to put for the song itself because there really isn't anything that's not fan created and therefore uncanon. I don't know how the song was recieved. It was a video single only, so if someone could find records of its popularity on music video countdown shows or something, that would be great. And also, I hate coming back to this page to see if anyone's expanded it to find that someone's deleted parts of the video explanation to push their own interpretation of what happened. It's supposed to be unbiased and encyclopedic people. If you're gonna add then support both sides or present something new. Don't delete someone's writing just because you disagree. how comes there loads of info on this page about the video but no on The Leaving Song Pt. II page about its video. maybe some one would like to write a bit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Leaving_Song_Pt._II
[edit] Davey's arm doesn't really go through the person
It's been discussed a lot and the scene in question was really just due to camera angles. Here's a link to a disscussion about it, but I don't know if there are any references there. You would have to look for the interview in which Davey says that he didn't die. I myself haven't seen it, I just wanted to get this info out here. --Lizzysama 00:55, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
