Talk:Silver Strand Beach

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The information about the bands currently keeping the scene alive are very outdated. Missing 23rd and In Control are broken up and Arsonics aren't taken seriously. Check Nardcore for current bands.

I don't know much about the Nardcore music scene (aside from basic, common knowledge facts), but I do know that a Wikipedia article about Silver Strand Beach should contain a reference to it being the birthplace of Nardcore, with a link to the article about Nardcore, but the Silver Strand article should not morph into an article about Nardcore. It isn't necessary to mention every band, lead singer, what streets they lived on and what year they lived there... that is what the Nardcore article is for. I rewrote the Nardcore portion of the Silver Strand article to reflect that. Dcmcgov 09:15, 25 December 2006 (UTC)

I think the Navy's Surface Warfare Engineering Facility should be mentioned, most commonly referred to as SWEF.

There is also another Silver_Strand entry, Silver Strand Beach didn't come up on a search.

Noted. I edited the link on the disambig page. Also, I don't know anything about the Navy's "SWEF" program, so although I did write the article, somebody with more knowledge of that subject matter should add it. It could just be my ignorace on the subject, but I remember hearing somewhere that the "Surface-to-air" missile program was on the Mugu portion of the base... If true, I dont think it has much bearing on the Silver Strand Beach article. Dcmcgov 09:01, 25 December 2006 (UTC)
