The name 'Silver Hand' is a reference to the metal gauntlet shaped pointer the Human Campaign uses to direct troops, actions in Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness.
This seems like speculation. Is there a source for this information? If no one can find anything about it, I'm going to remove it as someone's idea of a cute joke. --Kaziel 23:15, 7 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Nuada — Celtic mythology
Some reference should be made to Nuada, commonly referred to as "Nuada of the silver hand".
Here is an excerpt from the Wikipedia entry on Nuada:
"In Irish mythology, Nuada or Nuadu (later Nuadha), known by the epithet Airgetlám ("Silver Hand/Arm"), was a king of the Tuatha Dé Danann. He is cognate with the Gaulish and British god Nodens. His Welsh equivalent is Nudd or Lludd Llaw Eraint."
