[edit] Possible Lovecraft reference

Isn't "Townshend" a name of the New England town in H. P. Lovecraft's short story "Whisperer in the Dark"? Elenthel 22:58, 21 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Page blanking?

Dear FlareNUKE, why have you erased a part of the "Influence and Trivia" section and have not given a reason for doing this? Elenthel 22:40, 25 May 2006 (UTC)

  • Because that same information is on EVERY Silent Hill page. So I just removed it on all of them, and put them on the main page --FlareNUKE 23:09, 27 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] David Lynch?

"Director David Lynch is legendary for having eaten lunch at Bob's Big Boy restaurant every day for approximately seven years straight. [2] That particular Bob's Big Boy is located in Toluca Lake, CA on Riverside Drive, just down the road from Warner Bros. Studios and Universal Studios."

Can anyone explain to me why that's here? Other then the passing mention of Toluca Lake it seems completely irrelevant.

[edit] Clean-up

Could someone possibly clean up the end of the plot synopsis? Everything seems to make sense about the plot, then it suddenly starts talking about an Eileen and a "Mother" without saying anything about them. I'd clean it up myself, but the only game I've played that could be considered a survival-horror is Doom. Woodrow Buzard 17:07, 26 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Event Horizon

Nobody here seems to have noticed it yet, but the odd metal thresher thing in the final boss room is exactly like the stardrive from Event Horizon. I just added it to trivia and influences. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by KSweeley (talkcontribs) 15 September 2006.

If nobody has noticed it, then it doesn't belong on Wikipedia. Remember one of the cardinal rules of Wikipedia, No Original Research. Captainktainer * Talk 21:51, 4 October 2006 (UTC)
It dosn't look like the drive from Event Horizon (film) anyway. --Thaddius 16:26, 14 October 2006 (UTC)

It completely looks like it, he's right and you guys are dumb. -not dumb. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 68.115.221.235 (talk • contribs).

Sign your posts with four tildes (~), and since an anonymous person decided to support you KSweeley, we don't believe you. It's not going on the page. --Thaddius 17:50, 8 December 2006 (UTC)
It sorta does but I think it bears more of a resemblance to the machine from Thirteen Ghosts. Either way, it doesn't really deserve mention. ListedRenegade 21:54, 9 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Canadian Citizens Resembling Players

What is this nonsense about "Canadian citizen William Ashley" looking like Henry? I have no idea who William Ashley is or what he looks like. 204.112.156.246 07:47, 30 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] "In" Silent Hill?

Armed only with a steel pipe that broke loose when the wall opened, a carton of chocolate milk, and a bottle of wine, he proceeds to venture into the hellish madness of "Silent Hill". Henry never goes into Silent Hill. He comes close to it, yes, but he never actually enters the town of Silent Hill. Shouldn't this be edited out? Endaso 17:09, 24 January 2007 (UTC)

Being quoted, the "Silent Hill" here is designed to mean rather the whole Silent Hill universe than the town itself. I think that the quote marks are enough to show this. Elenthel 08:31, 25 January 2007 (UTC)
Hmm. Yes, I suppose I can see that. I guess it's the tone that doesn't appeal to me - seems more like the tone one would use on a promotion for a cheesy B-movie. But I'll let it be. Endaso 16:42, 25 January 2007 (UTC)
