The current Silver Spurs Arena is an 8,300-seat (11,400 seats in-the-round) multi-purpose arena in Kissimmee, Florida. It was built in 2003. It is home to the Osceola Ghostriders of the World Indoor Football League. It replaced the original Silver Spurs Arena. Both are also home to the Silver Spurs Rodeo, a semi-annual rodeo event, as well as concerts and trade shows (33,946 square feet of space). The arena, part of the Osceola Heritage Park complex, features 12 luxury suites, four locker rooms and additional amenites.
The arena was home to the Florida Seals of the Southern Professional Hockey League from October 2005 until January 4, 2007, when the franchise was evicted for failure to fulfill contractual obligations. The franchise was expelled from the league the next day. Interestingly, it was the second time the Seals had been evicted from an arena, having been booted from Orlando's TD Waterhouse Centre in 2004.
