Silver Creek High School is a secondary school located in San Jose, California which is operated by the East Side Union High School District.

To graduate form Silver Creek High School, Students must pass all required courses, pass the California High School Exit Exam[citation needed] and complete 240 credits to graduate.[citation needed]

As of 2006-2007, the school enrolls approximately 3,207[citation needed] 56% Asian (Pacific Islander included), 31% Hispanic, 9% white, and 5% African American.

Silver Creek has a Business and Technology magnet program, a Navy Junior Reserve Officer's Training Corps (NJROTC) and the only Japanese language program in the district. Silver Creek is currently in the process of building a new Science Building adding several more classrooms and much needed Science Labs.

[edit] Annual turkey-trot

Every year since 2005 the Silver Creek Physical Education Department holds an Annual Turkey Trot run during pe periods. The course is roughly 2 miles long. Participants who finish the course in the alloted times receive a T-Shirt.

  • Millard Hampton, Gold Medal Winner, 4 x 100m relay, in 1976 Montreal Olympics, Silver Medal Winner, 200m, on 1976 Montreal Olympics.
