Silicon Optix Inc (2001) is a privately held fabless semiconductor company that manufactures video/image digital processing integrated circuits. Originally a division of Genesis Microchip, Silicon Optix was spun off in 2001 by Paul Russo, the CEO of Genesis Microchip at the time.[1] Silicon Optix acquired Teranex and with the patents on the GAPP, which is now used in some of their products.
Silicon Optix is headquartered in San Jose, California with offices in Hanover, Germany; Orlando, Florida; Taipei, Taiwan; Shanghai, China; and Toronto, Canada.[2]
