Silesian Culture and Recreation Park

Silesian Culture and Recreation Park or Voivodship Culture and Recreation Park (Polish: Śląski Park Kultury i Wypoczynku, Wojewódzki Park Kultury i Wypoczynku), also sometimes unofficialy reffered to as General Jerzy Ziętek Park, is a recreation complex in the Chorzów and Katowice district of Silesia, Poland. It was founded in the 1960s from an initative of local politician Jerzy Ziętek as a popular community center for sports, arts, and recreation. It is the biggest city park in Europe.

• GKS Katowice Stadium
• the swimming-pool complex
• the water sports center

• the rose-garden
• The Technical Progress Centre
• a hotel complex which includes the Polish Tourist-Country Lovers' Association, the Polish Scouts' Association center, restaurants, cafes and many show pavilions where flower shows and other exhibits are held.
