Silent Supper

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Silent Supper (also called Mute Supper) is a ritual meal performed by adherents of the Wiccan faith at Samhain. Eaten at an altar or table, places are set for human guests and for those who have passed on. At the head of the table, a chair shrouded in black signifies the Deity. The entire meal is eaten in respectful silence. The meal usually consists of apples, bread, salt, and wine.
