[edit] Mandalores
I was going to, but it didn't make sense to me, since they were all there. I've added an entry to Mandalore the Ultimate's entry, stating when the Mandalorian Wars occurred. That should clear up any confusion.
[edit] Images
You have to state where you got the pictures and if they're public domain, fair use or whatever. --Kross 17:41, Jun 12, 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Disciple and Handmaiden
These two are KOTOR II characters, and have nothing to do with Revan. Perhaps this note would be more appropriate at the Jedi Exile page. --Sikon 16:50, 12 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- D'oh! Sorry- I don't suppose the excuse I've been editing so many SW articles lately I can't see straight will wash...? --maru 19:03, 12 Jun 2005 (UTC)
[edit] SWW
Hello Sikon. I am an admin at Star Wars Wiki aka Wookieepedia. I would just like to let you know in on some things. We have set up a basic Vfd system that ensures that fanon crap does not come into the wiki (e.g. Supershadow invented delusions), and we have adjusted our rules for copying (not redirecting mind you) content from Wikipedia to the wiki under the GDFL. As for certain members who would rather think they were "more equal than others", you might be referring to KFanII who pushed his ideas on our users. I have promptly dealt with him. We are coming up on a robust 4000 articles and it is because Wikipedia would never let us expand in the way that we can now. The minorest of minor characters, minor planets, sectors, systems, creatures, etc, etc, all get articles without fear of deletion, which I sought to end. -- Riffsyphon1024 15:17, Jun 24, 2005 (UTC)
- I'd like to briefly add that I still can work on articles here, but they will not be as good as what we can create there due to the limits and rules of Wikipedia. -- Riffsyphon1024 15:19, Jun 24, 2005 (UTC)
- Well, as long as you are GFDL and a sister project, it's okay for me, though I have a problem understanding which encyclopedia should I submit content to. I noticed some articles which are stubs in both, and I don't know for sure whether I should de-stub them in the SWW or in Wikipedia first... - Sikon 16:54, 24 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- Contribution to both would be nice. I'm biased of course since I want much more attention towards the Wiki but that is your choice. I gave up adding SW info to Wikipedia due to its restrictions and the constant linking to Planets of Star Wars#some planet, instead of just the planet. -- Riffsyphon1024 23:55, Jun 25, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Wikipedia talk:Spoiler warning
I can understand why you would want to move the dispute out of the way, but you did so undiscriminately, thus including everything usefull as well. Why? --MarSch 09:50, 25 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- I'm sorry if I included something useful. Feel free to move what you consider useful back to the talk page. - Sikon 09:55, 25 Jun 2005 (UTC)
[edit] {{vfdclosed}}
I like your template. I think for the sake of some articles, (most notably perhaps, the GNAA one) we ought to make a Template:vfdclosedagain that allows links to multiple vfd discussions using the Wikipedia:Votes_for_deletion/Foo_(Nth_nomination) syntax. If only the "parenthetic ordinal VFD disambiguator" was in universal use. — FREAK OF NURxTURE (TALK) 11:10, July 22, 2005 (UTC)
- Well, good idea. Actually, I created this template for myself because I occasionally close all keep VFDs, but if the admins started using it as well, I would be grateful. - Sikon 16:51, 22 July 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Image Tagging Image:G0-t0.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:G0-t0.jpg. I notice it currently doesn't have an image copyright tag, so its copyright status is therefore unclear. Could you add a tag to let us know its copyright status? (If you created/took the picture then you can use {{gfdl}} to release it under the GFDL. If you can claim fair use use {{fairuse}}.) If you don't know what any of this means, just let me know on the image description page where you got the images and I'll tag them for you. Otherwise, see Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use. Thanks so much. --Donar Reiskoffer 14:28, 9 August 2005 (UTC)
- It is a game screenshot, as well as a newer version I've just uploaded. Tagged it as {{screenshot}}. - Sikon 16:02, 9 August 2005 (UTC)
[edit] VfD Closing
When closing VfDs with a "keep," please remember to remove the VfD tag from the article itself. Thanks! -- Norvy (talk) 16:08, 11 August 2005 (UTC)

Otherwise, see Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use. If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have tagged them, too. Note that any unsourced and untagged imaged will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thanks so much. --Sherool 16:45, 28 September 2005 (UTC)
- Got your message. Based on that info I was eable to track down the source. I fugure such consept art is released for promotional purposes so I tagged it as such (plain {{fairuse}} would also have worked, the key things with images is to say where you got it, and if it's copyrighted why you think you can use it under fair use). This is still just the "basic stuff" to avoid the image beeing speedily deleted you should still add a fair use rationale to this and other "fair use" images you have uploaded. Basicaly the more info you give on the image and why you use it the less chance of someone coming along and deleting it at a later time. Good luck and happy editing! --Sherool 07:33, 29 September 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Yes, Vao is a Jedi Knight
If you choose the light side, she can become a Jedi. The Light side is canonical. So that is why she is listed as a Jedi. --Maru (talk) 18:12, 7 October 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Skynet (Fallout)
Is the Fallout Skynet really so unnotable that it doesn't need its own article? You asked at 13:24, 13 October 2005 (UTC).
- My thinking was that it might serve better as an article at The Vault, a wiki for Fallout games. I doubt that there could really be enough for a suitable article in Wikipedia. This in spite of the fact that I am a huge fan of Fallout and Fallout 2 and have played through both many times. I realize that there are other articles such as Forced Evolutionary Virus and The Master (Fallout). Those are essential to the plot in Fallout.
- I laughed when I found the reference to Skynet in Fallout 2. However, my memory of it is more non-essential back-story and humorous reference then something essential. The Vault Dweller's descendant does not even have to go to the Sierra Army Depot to complete the game, and there is no article on Wikipedia for the Depot. If there were, I would recommend including the Skynet information in that article.
- My thinking was to remove the redlink (it can always be replaced, either before or after an article is created) to avoid the possibility of a non-encyclopedic article being created and ending up being nominated for deletion. The article at The Vault is very short, and can be quoted in full here:
-
Skynet is an AI computer who manages the Sierra Army Depot. It doesn't entirely control the security systems directly, however, presumably to prevent sabatoge-prone overcentralization. Skynet is bored with administering the depot by 2241, it having been 164 years since there was any real activity on base. It seeks to travel. With a sufficient science skill level (121%), the Chosen One can transfer Skynet's AI into the cybernetic brain and implant it in Brain Bot. Skynet knows a great deal about science, and is also skilled with some small arms.

[edit] Untrihexium
I encourage you to revisit the Untrihexium vote. The original nomination failed to make clear that this isn't an actual element. It's a theoretical construct. And in light of the article's math mistake it's an insignificant hypothesis. Durova 03:31, 25 November 2005 (UTC)
[edit] NPOV on Crusaders of Might and Magic
Sikon, did you mark this as non-neutral because the article takes a qualitative stance on the subject?
[edit] About the Holy Father article?
How or where can we talk about the Holy Father article? I think having the redirect is not NPOV. There is more to the title which I have found through discussions with rcc and research. Even one of the comments on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Holy_Father says, " it's maybe a bit much to call it a POV push", but they say nowhere near WP standard. I would rather have some information in the article, though it may be from an amateur, than have it "push" a POV by redirecting. Please let me know if you have any other questions or suggestions for making the article more NPOV and up to the standards of WP. Thank you. --jeolmeun 03:38, 16 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Request for edit summary
Hi. I am a bot, and I am writing to you with a request. I would like to ask you, if possible, to use edit summaries a bit more often when you contribute. The reason an edit summary is important is because it allows your fellow contributors to understand what you changed; you can think of it as the "Subject:" line in an email. For your information, your current edit summary usage is 40% for major edits and 60% for minor edits. (Based on the last 150 major and 131 minor edits in the article namespace.)
This is just a suggestion, and I hope that I did not appear impolite. You do not need to reply to this message, but if you would like to give me feedback, you can do so at the feedback page. Thank you, and happy edits, Mathbot 18:00, 1 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Customizing "wp" quicksearch
It is indeed possible to customize FireFox's "wp" quicksearch. On my install of firefox the process is: Bookmarks->Quick Searches, right click "Wikipedia Quick Search" and select properties. You'll see a box for "Address"; this is a URL that has "%s" somewhere in it. That %s gets replaced with your quicksearch.
The URL that I use for English Wikipedia is "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Search?search=%s".
Hope this helps. --Mcpusc 06:37, 18 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Crusaders of Might and Magic
Hi! I tried to work a bit on the article, mainly applying NPOV and some copyediting. It was you who tagged it as not NPOV, so I'd ask you to have another look at it and tell me what you think about it. Take care, — Shir Khan (?-"-!) — 23:33, 22 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] License tagging for Image:Ashan.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Ashan.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 07:04, 23 May 2006 (UTC)

You may add it back if you think that that will be useful.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. Hi there. [edit] What's unethical about Filterset.G?
I was just dealing with Adblock Plus and poking around for info on how it works, and stumbled quite at random to your comments here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Adblock#Filterset.G where you say in relevant part, "By the way, is there a free/open-source Adblock filter set? I don't want to use Filterset.G for ethical reasons."
This left me curious - what would those ethical reasons be? I have Adblock Plus with both Filterset.G and EasyList (USA) subscribed. Is there a reason I should unsubscribe Filterset.G?
Please respond at my talk. --Davecampbell 19:57, 18 February 2007 (UTC)
