The captions on the map appear to wrongly distinguish India from Sikkim. It will be better if we put the name of the Indian state there. -- Sundar 04:51, Feb 8, 2005 (UTC)

I had a problem with the spacing of the text, that's why it looks like India is isolated from Sikkim. I can change the map, just let me know where the terms India and Sikkim should be placed according to conventions. Nichalp

I have the following suggestions:

  1. Use the same colour, if possible, for Sikkim and West Bengal region.
  2. Remove the caption India and replace it with West Bengal (India) and change Sikkim to Sikkim (India).
  3. If the above suggestion is not feasible, just replace India by West Bengal.

Also, the political map of Sikkim needs to incorporate these changes. -- Sundar 06:34, Feb 9, 2005 (UTC)

  • Using the same colour is not possible as each district has its distinct colour.
  • I don't think that having India in brackets follows any carthographic conventions.
  • I'll try the third option. Nichalp 10:50, Feb 9, 2005 (UTC)

Thanks. I didn't think about the districts having different colours part. Atleast for the political map of Sikkim, we should do that if it's not already done. I would like to see the change before the article is featured on the main page. -- Sundar 11:00, Feb 9, 2005 (UTC)
