The chapters and colonies are composed of undergraduate, graduate, and professional women.

[edit] Community Service

Our sorority takes pride in the community service we are involved in. We strive to serve the needy by participating in local, national, and international causes. SIA's national philanthropy is Camp Heartland. Camp Heartland is national non-profit organization which takes pride in enhancing the lives of infected with or affected by HIV/AIDS. Each chapter is also sponsors a child through Children's International. Children's International is a non-profit humanitarism organization which strives to help children throughout the world overcome burdens of poverty.

[edit] Goals

  • To constantly strive towards the expansion of awareness of the Latino culture to our members and the community at large.
  • To promote sisterhood and leadership amongst ourselves.
  • To serve as models of excellence in academics and achievements among women.

Throughout the years, many women have united under these goals and have formed the sisterhood which we value today. Although we work as sisters united by these goals, we appreciate each of our personal identities. Through the bonds of sisterhood, we develop leadership, scholarship, sportsmanship, and friendships.
