Sigma (particle)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The sigma is a baryon.
The sigma particles Σ+, Σ0, and Σ− are composed of one strange quark and a combination of up and down quarks, arranged in an isospin 1 state. These are hyperons.
The term sigma also can be used for Bottom baryons. They are not hyperons.
See List of baryons for details on each particle.
