Sigerson Clifford

Sigerson Clifford (1913 - 1985) was an Irish poet and playwright.
He was born in County Cork, although his parents were from County Kerry, and they returned there in the following year, to Cahirciveen. It was there that he grew up and went to school. After finishing secondary school, he went to Dublin and joined the civil service.
He wrote a number of poems and plays, including The Great Pacificator, which was staged at the Abbey Theatre, Dublin, in 1947.
