"Sifting" is a song by the grunge band, Nirvana. It is the eleventh song on their 1989 album Bleach. The song was written by Kurt Cobain (credited as Kurdt Kobain).

"Sifting" was one of the last songs to be written for the album. It appears to be about authority figures.^{[citation needed]}
