Sieverodonetsk (Ukrainian: Сєверодонецьк, translit. Sieverodonets’k, Russian: Северодонецк, translit. Severodonetsk) is a city in the Luhansk Oblast (province) of south-eastern Ukraine. The city is designated as its own separate raion (district) within the oblast, and is located on the Seversky Donets River, approximately 90km from the oblast capital, Luhansk.
Sieverodonetsk contains many factories and is also an important chemical production center. The city also has an airport.
Vasyl Volha, from Sieverodonetsk, was one of the candidates for the Ukrainian presidential election in 2004.
