Sid Owen

Sid Owen (born David Sutton on 12 January 1972 in London) is an English actor. He is most famous for playing the role of Ricky Butcher in the BBC soap opera EastEnders, which he appeared in from 1988 until 2000 and then again from 2002 until 2004.

He had previously had a small role in the film Revolution in 1985.

Owen took part in a celebrity boxing match with Ben Fogle, for Sport Relief.

In 2000 Owen released an ill-fated cover of Sugar Minott's 1982 single 'Good Thing Going'.

He is currently running a restaurant in France.

Owen took part in the fifth series of I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here! (2005) where he carried out the first bushtucker trail with David Dickinson. He finished third in the series.

Sid also starred in ITV1's prison drama Bad Girls as prison officer, Donny Kimber in 2006, during the shows eighth and final series. His character fell for prisoner Janine Nebeski, played by his ex-EastEnder co-star, Nicola Stapleton.

He also appeared in the pantomime 'Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs' (14th December 2006 to 7th January 2007) at the St. Albans Arena alongside Polly Parsons and Tony Rudd
