In chess, B60 is the ECO code for the Sicilian, Richter-Rauzer chess opening. The game begins 1.e4 c5 2.Nf3 d6 3.d4 cxd4 4.Nxd4 Nf6 5.Nc3 Nc6 6.Bg5. The move, 6.Bg5, was introduced by the German Master, Kurt Richter. The idea was to force an immediate 6....e6 or risk doubled king-pawns. At this point, Vsevolod Rauzer contributed the move, 7.Qd2, which is covered by the B61 variation. In the diagram shown, White has an advantage in space and development is nearly complete while Black has a better pawn structure.
