- Nobita, of the Japanese hit manga Doraemon, is loosely based on Shutran.
- Almost all Shutrans have two lumps near the head called the parotid glands. These glands contain poison, which oozes out if the Shutran is angered. Older Shutrans tend to be more toxic.
Shutran can make .5 past
lightspeed and do the
