On the January 11, 2007 Howard Stern Show, Shuli became the first Stern staffer to audio-record himself having sex.

During Artie Lange's comedy show in Las Vegas, he was lambasted by Artie for getting stoned and forgetting the names of the other comics.

However, on June 12, 2006, Eric called the Howard Stern Show and demanded that Derek's identity be revealed, to which Stern replied that "Derek the Midget" was in fact Shuli.
