Shugr
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Shugr is a very low calorie functional sweetener that is made from naturally-occurring sugars erythritol, Maltodextrin, tagatose, and the artificial sweetener sucralose, in that order by volume. It is produced by Swiss Diet. The substance tastes almost exactly like cane sugar with a very slight, not-unpleasant, delayed aftertaste that is easily overpowered by the flavor of the food/drink it is added to. Because its primary ingredients are sugars, it forms syrup, caramelizes and behaves like sugar in baked goods.
Shugr is manufactured by Health Sciences Group Inc. and distributed by DNP International, Inc.
