Why was the picture of Shreveport deleted from the infobox? is this vandalism? 66.196.254.248 15:38, 30 January 2007 (UTC)
I don't understand why the Caddo Magnet school was redirected. There was no consensus to redirect. It seems to have been deleted at one remove. So much for the idea that we build an encyclopaedia by consensus. Dr Zen 13:18, 26 Nov 2004 (UTC)
If the pictures aren't licensed or given proper attribution, a bot removes them and comments the code out. You can revert the changes and add a copyright template if you have the right to use the images. Arundhati Bakshi 17:06, 3 February 2006 (UTC)
I am looking for the citation but I have read recently that Shreveport now has the 2nd largest population in LA as NO has dropped to 3rd post-Katrina. JonathanDailey 23:03, 5 April 2007 (UTC)

There is way too much detail in the schools section. DJ Clayworth 14:18, 10 August 2006 (UTC)
Forgotten in all this is the fact that many major movie companies are now filming in Shreveport after moving north from New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina. Not only are made for TV movies filming, but feature films such as Mr. Brooks starring Kevin Costner and Demi Moore. The former Shreveport Expo hall has been rented out to movie companies and is in the beginning stages of being renovated as a movie sound stage.
Yes, and "The Guardian" was here in Shreveport. It's great for my citys tourism.
I edited the line about Standard Oil "having it's headquaters in Shreveport." That is not a true statement. Standard Oil of LOUISIANA at one time headquatered in Louisiana, but to say that "Standard Oil" was based in Shreveport is stretching things.
Also, Shreveport was never the "oil capital of the US," although at one time was a major player next to Houston in the oil business.
Shreveport was also the capital of Louisiana in 1963. My teacher just started teaching that.
