This image was uploaded in a format such as BMP, GIF, or PNG. It could be stored, however, in the JPEG format which compresses photos more efficently. Because the JPEG format supports variable compression of photos, you may get a smaller file. If possible, please upload a JPEG version of this image. If a source URL for the image is listed and functional, please convert the image found at that location in the chance that the creator of this image made edits to the original which consequently reduced its quality. Conversion can be done with free image-editing software such as GIMP. After doing so, please replace all instances of the previous version throughout Wikipedia (noted under the "File links" header), tag the old version with {{JPEG version available|NewImage.jpg}}, and remove this tag. • This template automatically adds images to Category:Images that should be in JPEG format.
• This template should not be used for
  • linear art-style graphics. Use {{ShouldBePNG}}, {{ShouldBeSVG}}, {{BadJPEG}}, or {{BadGIF}} for those images.
  • animated images. JPEG does not support animation so GIF should be used instead
  • images which contain strictly vector (non-raster) data. SVG should be used in this case. Use {{ShouldBeSVG}} for all such images.
