Showcase Cinemas

Showcase Cinemas is the name given to some of the movie theaters owned by National Amusements of Dedham, Massachusetts, USA. The company was one of the first to open multiplex cinemas in the United Kingdom in the 1980s; it now operates 19 cinemas across the UK.
Showcase Cinemas is owned and operated by National Amusements, a privately held company, that supports community activities. Showcase Cinemas develops promotions and events to raise money and awareness for both local and regional organizations.
National Amusements, based in Dedham, Massachusetts, ranks among the top exhibitors in the world, operating more than 1,354 indoor screens in the United States, United Kingdom and Latin America. It is the parent company of Viacom, which includes Paramount Communications, MTV Networks, Nickelodeon, VH1, Blockbuster Video, and other major entertainment properties.
Showcase Cinemas has been voted for its cleanliness and its sound experience[citation needed]. The Showcase Cinemas brand also plans to expand by opening IMAX sites in the UK, as this was announced by National Amusements.
