The Show Me Center is a multipurpose arena located on the campus of Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Since opening the doors in 1987, this joint project between the City of Cape Girardeau and the university has matured into a regional facility serving the 250,000 residents of Southeast Missouri, Southern Illinois, and Western Kentucky. The facility's director, David B. Ross, opened the building on August 20, 1987. Ross finished a term as the president of the International Association of Assembly Managers (IAAM) in 2006.
The Show Me Center, which annually hosts approximately 250 meeting room and 160 arena events, is an entertainment, meeting, and gathering center. The Show Me Center is also the home of the NCAA Division I Southeast Missouri State University Redhawks basketball teams, and seats 6,972 for such events.

- Doors opened August 20, 1987
- Hosted Comedian Bob Hope in August 1987.
- Icon Tina Turner took the stage on October 14, 1987.
- Rock-band Aerosmith played a show with Guns 'N Roses in July, 1988.
- Presidential visit by Ronald Reagan on September 18th, 1988.
- Hosted the Women's NCAA Division II Final Four in 1991.
- Now-legend Garth Brooks opened for Kenny Rogers before he was a star in the early 1990s.
- The World's most recognized beards, ZZ Top performed in 2000 with rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd.
- Kennett, MO. Native Sheryl Crow returned to rock audiences in 2000.
- The legendary Bob Dylan, delighted crowds in 2001.
- Nickleback electrified everyone in 2003.
- Toby Keith and Rascal Flatts brought a little bit of country to our stage in 2003.
- Trans Siberian Orchestra dazzled all with a blend of lights, fire, and searing music in 2004, and presented the Show Me Center with a platinum copy of their album Christmas Eve and Other Stories on their return trip in 2005.
- The Red Haired Stranger Willie Nelson performed in 2005.
- The Show Me Center hosted the Missouri State Hog Rally in 2006
- Brad Paisley "Time Well Wasted" Tour featuring Carrie Underwood and Jake Owen in 2006.
