Shorty McShorts is the host of the show, and he is only seen before and after each short. His name is often shortened to Shorty, and abbreviated to SMS, which is written on his hat. He is always seen wearing blue. Shorty is a train conductor for the Short Line.

[edit] Cancellation?
There has been much speculation as to whether or not the show has been canceled. No official word has been given but the lack of new episodes convinces fans that it probably has been canceled. It is only so often that the seven episodes are played on Disney Channel. However, it has been confirmed that there will be (or at least should have been) a Boyz on Da Run (Part 4) because Part 3 had a "To be Continued..." banner at the end. In March 2007, episodes began to play more frequently, especially during the night time movie.
