Shopaholic (novels)

Shopaholic is a series of novels written by the UK author Madeleine Wickham under the pseudonym Sophie Kinsella. As of February 2007, there are five books in the series. The entire series has been optioned by a Hollywood studio. On Sophie Kinsella's website, she stated that the first Shopaholic movie is in production at Disney.

The first edition of The Secret Dreamworld of a Shopaholic was published in London in September 2000 as a trade paperback.

Rebecca Bloomwood is a financial journalist (just like her creator). When she is not telling others how to manage their money, she is spending her own on shopping.

For the US edition published on February 6 2001 the title was changed to Confessions Of A Shopaholic.
