Shogi (Xcalibur)

In the television fiction series Xcalibur, a Shogi is a type of wizard. They learned their skills in buildings called "monasteries".

One of their powers was to make a ball of fire in a hand and throw it, apparently without it burning the man who threw it. The accompanying magic spell is "Ball of fire, fly!".
