Shoeburyness is a railway station located in Shoeburyness in the borough and unitary district of Southend-on-Sea in the East of England, United Kingdom. The station serves as the eastern terminus of the London, Tilbury and Southend Railway from Fenchurch Street railway station in the City of London, some 39 miles (62.7 km) to the west. The station is served by c2c services.

[edit] Layout

The station is arranged in a through station layout despite acting as a terminal station. It was opened on 1 February 1884 by the London, Tilbury and Southend Railway. As a result of this layout, the station has step free access to all of its platforms.

  • 4tph (trains per hour) to Fenchurch Street of which:
    • 2tph do not stop at Pitsea, West Horndon or Limehouse

A connection exists to the MOD site nearby at Pig's Bay.
