ShockWave is a modification for the popular RTS game expansion pack Command and Conquer: Generals - Zero Hour, originally created by The_Hunter in 2004. It can only be played with the 1.04 version of Zero Hour, and its current released version is 0.93. It is quite critically acclaimed by the C&C Generals fanbase, and is played competitively online by fans.

[edit] Features

ShockWave adds a great number of new units and abilities to each of the 9 generals and their normal 'vanilla' factions. Its main goal is to make the game more interesting to play. ShockWave can be seen as a partial conversion mod for Zero Hour, since it does not change the design direction of the original game, expanding on it instead. It is comparable to most expansion packs for RTS games but bigger in scale. Several team members of the project have stated that they want the mod to look like it could have been a second expansion released straight from EA Games - the new additions are supposed to blend seamlessly with the original game. [1]

[edit] Future

ShockWave has two scheduled/confirmed beta releases left. 0.95 will add three new and completely original generals to the game and lots of new content, and 0.96 is planned to upgrade old content to the 0.95 standard. 1.00 is stated to be the final release with all the finished content, including navies and new missions, plus a redone General's Challenge game mode.
