[edit] Your writing

is excellent. I wish you also wrote about sports clubs in Hebrew. Yellow up 08:31, 10 May 2006 (UTC)

Hi. I'd like to organize my user page. What is relevant. Can recommend some page to follow? Shmuliko 10:34, 10 May 2006 (UTC)

What do you mean? If you want to create your user page just click on the red "Shmuliko" link. You can add almost (besides curses, illegal material etc) whatever you want to that page. Yellow up 22:30, 10 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Hapoel-Ramat-Gan.png

I noticed that you uploaded Image:Hapoel-Ramat-Gan.png with a tag saying that you created it yourself. Can you please confirm this? Thanks! Isopropyl 05:21, 14 May 2006 (UTC)

Hi. This nay be a mistake. It's "copyrighted, autor releases all rights". Shmuliko 05:35, 14 May 2006 (UTC)

If you didn't create the image yourself, a better tag to use would be {{logo}}. Please change the tag. Isopropyl 05:42, 14 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] License tagging for Image:Kharkiv vokzal.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Kharkiv vokzal.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] Template:Israeli Premier League

Please do not add club logos to this (or any) template. Wikipedia's fair use policy explicitly disallows the use of fair use images in templates. Thanks. Oldelpaso 20:18, 22 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image Tagging for Image:Modiin_view.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Modiin_view.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] Image:Ariel Upper campus.jpg

Hi, can you explain why you tagged this photo as "CopyrightedFreeUse" when you uploaded this photo to WikiCommons but when you uploaded it to English Wikipedia you claim it is "fair use"?

Can you explain why you claim that the copyright owner of Image:Kishon.jpg has released all rights to it when in fact you took it from ru:Изображение:Kishon.jpg who has neither a source or any such claim?

And why do you claim that the copyright owner has released all rights to Image:Suvorov portrait.jpg when you took it from ru:Изображение:P001.jpg who has no such claim?

Isn't it a fact that you will upload any photo and tag them with a phony license? Thuresson 13:34, 29 June 2006 (UTC)

Hi. First, please don't attack me, I'm not a criminal. I'm not such experienced user and may make mistakes. As I understand all files copyrighted from ru.wikipedia is GFDL if there is no other license. If so it is my mistake & I will fix it. As for Image:Ariel Upper campus.jpg: it is "CopyrightedFreeUse" I'm sure, I've studied there. What kind of licence should I use when I'm loading it from wikipedia? GFDL? Shmuliko 15:36, 29 June 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for your message. If a photo is licensed under GFDL, you should use the same license, GFDL. Also, the GFDL license requires you to give credit to the photographer, eg. write out his/her name: "Photograph by Jeff" or something similar. Also, please always include a source where you got the photo so that others can check for themselves. Thanks, Thuresson 15:49, 29 June 2006 (UTC)
I really find your tone a bit exaggerated, as if Shmuliko were on an FBI investigation. I don't see any reason to say sentences like "Isn't that a fact ... and tag them with a phony license", which sounds like a sentence a prosecutor would say to a witness. Yellow up 18:22, 29 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Page removing

How can I remove page with incorrect name? In category some how exists incorrect name Amos (satllite) instead of Amos (satellite). Thank you in advance. Shmuliko 16:06, 6 July 2006 (UTC)

If you are the author then you can tag the page with {{db-author}} and it will be deleted. I have deleted it for you.  (aeropagitica)  (talk)  16:08, 6 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Modiin view.jpg

Warning sign This file may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Modiin view.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. BrownCow • (how now?) 17:56, 7 July 2006 (UTC)

An image that you uploaded or altered, Image:Modiin view.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree images. If the image's copyright status cannot be verified, it may be deleted. Please go to its page to provide the necessary information on the source or licensing of this image (if you have any), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. There is an information added "The immage taken from municipality official web site http://www.modiin.muni.il/ and it fits site policy. Can be found there in Hebrew only." Do you want me to translate site policy? What is an additional information I have to support to GDFL? Shmuliko 05:48, 11 July 2006 (UTC)

Yes, please provide a direct link to the web site's copyright policy (or the page where they say they release their images under the GFDL) and a translation. Please do this on the image description page. Thank you. --BrownCow • (how now?) 18:40, 11 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] I want "JBZ_elephant.jpg" - can you load it to Commons pls?

שלום. I came across your profile because I wanted to learn who uploaded this picture:

Well, the thing is that I need to use this picture on the Arabic version of the Jerusalem Biblical Zoo, since Gabi was once featured on a Lebanese television station (and my interest on this particular elephant). If you could upload it to commons.wikimedia.org, I would find it easier to use it, plus anyone else. Hope you'll have the time to register at commons.wikimedia.org asap.

.תודה -Qasamaan 22:42, 14 January 2007 (UTC)

P.S. By the way, you live in a beautiful area. I just saw Ashdod's article. :)

Done.

P.S. I glad that you like the area. In hope you'll visit it. :) Shmuliko 11:23, 15 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image:FIFA Club World Cup 2006 logo.gif

The image was deleted because it does not have any source information. The image needs a source from where it was originally uploaded according to image use policy. Shyam (T/C) 17:26, 24 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Re:Category:Port cities in the Middle East

Those were giving me the most trouble as to where to put them. Some countries may have multiple, but others may not. I'll try to redistribute them by country (Israel has quite a few), others can be put into more well-defined regions (Arabian peninsula) and the rest will just go in Asia. The issue have been discussed previously. Please find content policy in link below (Unfortunately, in hebrew only). http://www2.yosh.ac.il/Disclaimer.aspx According to this (paragraph 3), as student, I can use the content without CJS responsibility. Shmuliko 05:46, 4 April 2007 (UTC)

I dunno. Not that it's written clearly, but I understand from paragraph 1 that all rights are reserved, and in paragraph 3 that the college is referring to personal pages or something else. I don't think that the college would mind having the image on wp, though I assume that they would want to still keep some sort of copyright on it. I would suggest contacting the legal dept as requested and have Fritz give you some time to do so since the next week or so are holidays in Israel. --Shuki 20:16, 4 April 2007 (UTC)

I think it is pretty clear. According to paragraph 1 the content belongs to college, student and employees. Nobody can use the content as college official statement, till this approved by judicial office. According to paragraph 3 the students are free to use content in their web sites. I think it more than enough. Shmuliko 08:51, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
