Talk:Shi Tao

I didn't provide the specific date for the finding of guilt because the sources don't agree. CPJ has April 27, RWB has April 30. Perhaps the court's ruling happened separately from the sentencing, but I wasn't sure how to resolve the discrepancy. --Michael Snow 17:43, 9 September 2005 (UTC)
Why does this newspaper have Shi Tao as a woman? Seems like a strange mistake to make... and Chinese pronouns are gender neutral, so other sources might have it wrong. Is Shi Tao a woman? Or is it just that someone in that newsroom said "Shi" and someone else heard "she"? --grant 14:11, 15 July 2006 (UTC)
How come it says he was imprisoned for 10 years when it appears he is still imprisoned and has been for a little over two years? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 209.149.12.20 (talk • contribs).
- It's a matter of style. "He was imprisoned" doesn't necessarily mean the sentence is now over. I added the year of sentencing to the sentence to clarify it. Nardman1 21:47, 25 January 2007 (UTC)
