Shirley Miranda-Rodriguez

Shirley Miranda-Rodriguez's commercial photography has been featured in Vibe, Latina as well as Hispanic magazines and includes notable clients Girl Scouts of the USA, Simon & Schuster and Planned Parenthood. Her most internationally recognized collection of over 150 portraits and nudes, LatiNatural, explores the body image, diversity and experience of the North American Latina woman. LatiNatural has been exhibited throughout New York City including solo shows at the Bolivar Arellano Gallery[1] in the East Village and the historic Caribbean Cultural Center African Diaspora Institute[2].
In 2005, El Diario/La Prensa honored Shirley with their "Mujeres Destacadas" (Distinguished Women) award. She was born in New York City to Puerto Rican parents, is a graduate of New School University and Co-founder/Creative & Photo Director of Somos Arte[3].
