The Shire of Donnybrook-Balingup is a Local Government Area of Western Australia based in the town of Donnybrook. It is located in the state's South West region, approximately 220km south of Perth. The shire covers an area of 1,560 km² and has a population of about 4,300.

The Upper Capel Road Board (renamed to Balingup Road Board in 1905) was gazetted in 1899, while the Preston Road Board was gazetted in 1896. On 1 July 1961, they became the Balingup and Donnybrook Shire Councils respectively following changes to the Local Government Act. On 26 March 1970 the two shires were merged.
