Shipley Windmill

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Shipley Windmill near Horsham, West Sussex, is a smock mill. It was built in 1879 by a local millwright called Grist and Steele.

Shipley is the largest and the youngest windmill in Sussex. It is still in working order and occasionally grinds corn for flour. It is open to visitors on the first, second and third Sundays each month, and Bank Holiday Mondays between 2-5pm throughout the spring and summer.
