Shindand District

The Shindand District is situated in the southern part of the Herat Province in Afghanistan.It borders with Adraskan District to the North,Ghor Province to the East and Farah Province to the South and West.The population is 151 900 (2005 year).The district center is the town of Shindand.Nearby the town is located the Shindand Airbase.The main road Herat-Kandahar pases through the district.
