Shimobe, Yamanashi

Shimobe (下部町; -chou) was a town located in Nishiyatsushiro District, Yamanashi, Japan. On September 13, 2004 the town merged with the towns of Nakatomi and Minobu in Minamikoma District into a larger town also called Minobu.

As of 2003, the town had an estimated population of 5,199 and a density of 39.89 persons per km². The total area was 130.34 km².
