Shiki (色, Shiki^?) is a video game character in the fighting game series Samurai Shodown.

Shiki was born as one of Yuga's babies. Her identity and memory are fractured, but she was brainwashed and trained in the usage of twin sword fighting. She was told to find a man fit to become the perfect body for the Dark Lord's resurrection. Finding Haohmaru to be that man, she follows him for a chance to take him away to the dark side and is relentless in her quest.

Her soul was finally freed after Haohmaru defeated Yuga. However, a year later, Yuga returned from the afterlife. During this timeframe, she encounters Shadow Asura who was sent to capture her but the two fall in love. After the two Asura's defeat Yuga, she gives birth to Mikoto. She then leaves her child with Nicotine and Haohmaru. It is unknown what occurred after this point, but it is strongly implied she died somewhere.

Shiki is one of the most popular characters in the Samurai Shodown series, but is comparatively unknown outside of Japan, due to the poor distribution of the two 3D games in the series.
Her true name is Kanae.
She works as a fortune teller when she's not attacking Haohmaru in ST.
She is heterochromatic, with one blue eye and the other blood red, which also plays into the "color" aspect of her name.
Shiki is the only other fighting game character besides Vega from Street Fighter to sport a snake tattoo.
Her alternative palette in SNK vs. Capcom: Chaos and Neo Geo Battle Coliseum resembles Dekuin, one of the Yuga's puppets.
