Shigekazu Shimazaki was a Lieutenant-Commander in the Imperial Japanese Navy Air Service and leader of the 2nd wave of the attack on Pearl Harbor by planes. [1]
For the attack on Pearl Harbor, he was part of the Zuikaku Air Group, from the aircraft carrier Zuikaku.
He later took part in the Battle of the Coral Sea, where he led the attack by aircraft from the Zuikaku on US aircraft carriers. [2]
