Shi Naian

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Shī Nàiān, (施耐庵) (1296? - 1370?) was a classical Chinese author attributed as the first compiler of Water Margin. Not much biographical information is known about him. Some modern scholars doubt that Shi actually existed, and believe the name was simply a pseudonym for Luo Guanzhong, who is also attributed as a main compiler of Water Margin.
