Naruto: Shinobi Retsuden is the fifth fighting game based on the manga and anime series Naruto. It is also the first 3D fighting game on the DS handheld. The game takes place during the first part of the series

[edit] Gameplay

The fighting is set on an infinite-scrolling stage, much like the earlier Tekken games. The touch screen has six large buttons which are used to activate special effects and use items.[1] The gameplay and graphics are similar to the Naruto: Gekitou Ninja Taisen series of fighting games on the Nintendo Gamecube otherwise known as the Naruto: Clash of Ninja series in the U.S. There are 8 stages in this game and two different difficulty settings. There is a story mode, an arcade mode, a single match battle mode and local wireless multiplayer mode. There is no single card play.
