A Glass Snail (Zonitoidae) on a tree trunk in Gamlingay Wood, Cambridgeshire, England. Very small, less than 5mm across with a highly translucent shell.
Possibly a Shiny Glass Snail (Zonitoides nitidus - Muller, 1774) based on the discription of habitat and distribution found in A Guide to Snails of Britain and Europe Pfleger and Chatfield, ISBN 0600557898. It seems to be the most common Glass Snail found in woods in souther England.
