Shelly Palmer (born as Shelly Margaret Palmer on September 19, 1958) is an endagered species, one of the last ethical Realtors, and perhaps most familiar as "the person you always think you recognize from high school but can't quite place." Yes, I'm one of those people.

Shelly Palmer was born across from the Hollywood Race Track in Inglewood, California on September 19, 1958, and is the daughter of Rock & Roll Hall of Fame drummer (2000) Earl C. Palmerand Susan Weidenpesch. Palmer was named for Shelly Manne, a beloved friend of her father who felt indebted to Shelly Manne for helping him jump-start his studio career in Los Angeles after relocating from New Orleans, Louisiana. Palmer accompanied father Earl to numerous recording sessions in Hollywood, California as he made a name for himself as part of the original "Wrecking Crew" of the early sixties booming recording industry.
Raised in a hilltop home in Baldwin Hills, California, growing up, Palmer was a competitive figure skater. She began skating at age eight under the tutelage of Mabel Fairbanks at Culver Ice Rink in Culver City, California. In her skating career, she rose to the ranking of silver medalist and trained with Olympic champions Tai Babilonia and Randy Garnder, also students of Ms. Fairbanks, the first African-American skating coach in the country. She continued her instruction later with Don Knight and John Nicks at the Ice Capades Chalet in Santa Monica, California.
Palmer attended Santa Monica and Hollywood High Schools respectively, before graduating from the University of Southern California in 1981. Palmer gave birth to her only child, a son, Lee Charles Richerson, III on January 15, 1978 by homebirth in Manhattan Beach, California. Richerson is a successful recording artist known as "Big Lee" who performed on the critically acclaimed compilation album entitled "Pink Floyd: A Fair Forgery", and holds the distinction of being the only person ever to receive the right to license and publish an original Pink Floyd song. Richerson has also recorded with Warren G, with Strapt on "As The World Turns", and also filmed a television pilot with comedian Fred Willard. While raising her son in Santa Monica, California, Palmer worked as a Director at Marigold Pre-School, an Awards Coordinator for the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences, (GRAMMY), Associate Director of The Herb Alpert Foundation and as a Programmer/Analyst for Candle Corporation, before becoming a Realtor in 2000.
Shelly Palmer currently resides with the love of her life, husband of five years, Ion Bugar, on two acres in an 80-year old rustic home in Topanga Canyon, California with a creek out front. It is here, as well as in Calabasas, Woodland Hills, Agoura Hills and Westlake, California, that she sells real estate for White House Properties.
